The WA State Government Department of Community and Employment Protection (DOCEP) maintains a free website with fuel cost information. Information is updated daily and can be viewed at www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au
Western Australia is conducting a 'Green Taxi' trial of hybrid petrol-electric vehicles. Please see the Green taxi section for more information. Up to 15 taxis in the fleet are hybrid vehicles which have low operating costs due to their fuel consumption.

Shift lease fees are charged by taxi operators when you lease their vehicle. The current maximum shift lease rates are listed below.
